The Brief

This expansive section with large setbacks from front and side boundaries to house provided an opportunity to create a unique garden experience for our clients. Having recently renovated the property, a cost effective solution that utilised the existing and minimised structural elements was important… with enough space for a weekend cricket pitch out the front another key request!

The Concept

The existing front fence situated right on the boundary needed attention, and was redesigned to formalise the entry, the circular form within front gate a homage to the portal window within the facade of the house. Behind the front fence an open lawn with formal border planting sits alongside the existing driveway, which has been modernised through integration of cobblestone landings and detail panels.

The northern side of the house was transformed into a mediterranean corridor, with mature olives and bay trees being used to soften and screen, the pétanque court the centrepiece, book ended by custom seating within the backyard.
