We are passionate about the outdoors, and enjoy bringing that enthusiasm to each and every space we have the opportunity to create.

Levi and our experienced team of landscape designers work closely with you from the outset to understand exactly what you’re trying to achieve, and how best to do this in an innovative and interesting way that responds to place, personality and lifestyle.

It all starts with a chat, and goes from there as outlined in the process below…

Summary

  • Stage 01 – Design Consultation: An onsite meeting to start discussions about your space.
  • Stage 02 – Concept Design: Preparation of concept plan and 3D’s as well as initial construction budgeting.
  • Stage 03 – Council Consent: Preparation of all drawings and documentation required for relevant council approval.
  • Stage 04 – Design Detailing & Documentation: Refinement of concept for detailed contractor pricing and construction.
  • Stage 05 – Project Management: Overseeing the project through construction in order to ensure a great end result

This initial consultation is key to understanding the site, what you would like to achieve and why. It gives us the opportunity to have an in depth chat through options, ideas and opportunities that form the basis for the design brief.

This brief is then prepared and coupled with a design fee proposal that is tailored to the scale and specifics of your project and issued for review and approval.

Following acceptance of the design fee proposal we will then begin work on the concept design package which includes a scaled and annotated concept plan, mood board, 3D perspectives and animation (if selected), along with a budget estimate of construction costs.

During this process we will look to address all items within the brief, along with any other specific requests, in order to ensure the final concept meets both design brief and budget. We will also determine whether the project requires any form of Council Consent.

This stage will be included if it’s deemed that the project requires a form of council consent. It will involve development and preparation of all drawings and documentation sufficient for the relevant consent requirements. It will also include liaising with architects and planning consultants throughout the process.
As part of this stage we may need to engage other professionals depending on the elements of the design and the council requirements for your area.

This involves the preparation of all detail drawings and documentation to facilitate detailed pricing in preparation for construction, and accuracy within the build. This will include structural details and set-out plans, planting plans, lighting plans, along with the specification of all material selections and a meeting to review and approve all of these items.

This stage is essential in allowing all professional contractors to price the project with accuracy, and also ensures all proposed details and finishes are understood and approved by the client prior to construction commencement.

This stage involves Fifth Season overseeing construction in order to advise on any necessary design changes that may arise during the build, assist at key stages (eg. plant set-out and selection), and remain involved in ongoing client and contractor correspondence to ensure that the project is completed to a high standard that accurately reflects the design and intent of the scheme.

Once consent has been granted and the landscape contractor has been selected to carry out works then this stage will commence.
